A suspect has been arrested in an April 12th shooting death in Colorado Springs. The Denver Post is reporting that 18-year-old Adam Viveros was taken into custody without incident on Wednesday. Viveros is the suspect in the shooting death of Claudio Vega. He is being held in the El Paso County Jail charged with first degree murder.
The arrest stemmed from an April 12th confrontation between two groups of people in southwest Colorado Springs. According to The Gazette, at about 9:30 p.m. a fight broke out in front of 4519 Dewey Drive and at least one person started firing a handgun. When officers arrived they found two males with apparent gunshot wounds. Both males were transported to Memorial Hospital, where one of the males, Claudio Vega, died from his wounds. The other male survived the incident.
